This Privacy Policy explains how Mail Student(“the Add-on”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Google Sheets™ mail merge add-on.
To provide mail merge functionality, the Add-on may access the following Google account data:
Google Sheets™ data from the active spreadsheet, including column headers and row values
Email addresses stored in your spreadsheet
Your primary Google account email address
Gmail™ aliases connected to your account
Email subject lines, message content, CC, and BCC information entered by you
Draft emails created through the Add-on
Gmail™ sending permissions required to send emails or create drafts on your behalf
The Add-on uses this information only to provide the requested mail merge functionality, including:
Reading spreadsheet data to personalize email templates
Replacing placeholders such as {name} or {company} with spreadsheet values
Sending emails through your Gmail™ account
Creating Gmail™ drafts when requested
Sending test emails to your own account
Detecting and formatting HTML content in emails
Accessing your Gmail™ aliases so you can choose which sender address to use
The Add-on does not permanently store your spreadsheet data, email content, recipient lists, or Google account information on external servers.
All processing takes place within your Google account using Google Apps Script services such as:
Gmail™
Google Sheets™
Google Account Session information
We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your personal information to third parties.
For troubleshooting and debugging purposes, the Add-on may temporarily log technical information such as:
Email sending errors
Missing column names
Invalid email addresses
Template replacement errors
Image processing status
Number of emails sent
These logs are only accessible to the script owner and are used solely to improve reliability and fix issues.
You are responsible for:
Ensuring that recipients have consented to receive your emails
Complying with applicable anti-spam and email marketing laws
Verifying that spreadsheet data and recipient email addresses are accurate
Reviewing email content before sending
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and only request the minimum Google permissions required for the Add-on to function.
We do not store, process, or share your personal data outside your Google account. All actions are performed within your Google environment.
